Plink has no accounts and no tracking cookies. Your scores and streak live in your own browser. If you play, your score and the nickname you choose go on a public leaderboard. Please do not use your real name.
What is saved in your browser
Plink saves a small file in your browser's local storage so the games remember you. It holds your streak, your best scores, your sound setting, the nickname you typed (if any) and a random player number made up on your device. It never leaves your browser except for the leaderboard described below. You can erase it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
The leaderboard
When a round ends, your browser sends the game, your score, your nickname (or "Player") and your random player number to our leaderboard database, which is run by Supabase in the EU (Ireland). The leaderboard shows nicknames and scores to everyone. The random player number is only used so that one device has one place per board and a better score replaces a worse one. It is not shown.
- Daily scores are deleted after 7 days.
- All-time boards keep only the top 200 scores for each game.
- Names go through a filter. We may remove a name or score that breaks the rules of good taste.
Because the leaderboard is public, choose a nickname that is not your real name and does not identify you.
Party rooms
If you make or join a room, your nickname, your random player number and your scores for that room are stored so the room can show a scoreboard to the people in it. Anyone who has the room code can see the nicknames and scores. Rooms and everything in them are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
What we do not do
- No accounts, emails or passwords.
- No advertising or tracking cookies at the moment.
- No selling or sharing of data.
- No outside fonts or scripts. The site loads everything from its own address.
Hosting
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the pages and to keep the site safe. We do not use your IP address for anything else.
Children
Plink is built to be playable by anyone and asks for no personal details. The only thing a player can type is an optional nickname. Parents and guardians: please remind younger players not to use their real name.
If this changes
If we ever add advertising or visitor statistics, this page will be updated first, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent before anything is switched on.
